Getting to know our publisher
First things first, we need to make a disclaimer: at TwinRed, we take confidentiality very seriously; therefore, we can’t name the publisher. Nonetheless, we can discuss the specific steps we took to improve the website’s performance.
Launched as a classic image gallery, the website offered little interactivity to its users. Ads were limited to basic static banners to blend them into the rest of the content.
Later, the owner switched to a tube-site layout with videos, which led to longer user sessions and improved content flow. At the same time, ads remained the same, so basically, traffic grew, but revenue stayed flat. The webmaster wasn’t satisfied with the results, so they reached out to us.
Developing and executing a strategy with TwinRed
Having analyzed the website, we assigned Irina, our Publishing Team Lead, as the manager. She laid out three approaches, involving different ad frequency and style of creatives: aggressive, non-aggressive, and balanced.
After a couple of back-and-forth questions and concerns, the publisher opted for the balanced approach. It was a safe bet, considering the ultimate goal of boosting the revenue while preserving the user experience.
With the direction locked in, it was time to get to the real work. We fine-tuned everything related to ads, including density, formats, frequency capping, and precise triggers, to attract high-intent users.
None of the technical issues were a problem, since we were in close contact with our tech team, who handled everything ASAP. The flow was nice and smooth.
Results after a couple of months
This whole setup was launched back in November 2025, and since then, the results have been climbing steadily every month.
The publisher’s revenue multiplied by x13. To put it into perspective, that’s like having $100 in profits initially, then increasing them to $1,300 in a few months. Of course, the actual figures are much higher than in this example.
